Honda Civic GX wins the Greenest Vehicle award!
Ed Napleton Honda of Oak Lawn brings you the Luck 'O the Irish with four Honda vehicles that have won accolades from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) by featuring on the list of the "Greenest Vehicles of 2010". Irish eyes are smiling on the Civic GX natural gas car, which won the title of America's greenest vehicle for the seventh consecutive year in the annual ACEEE's "Green Book Online", ranking of environmentally responsible vehicles. The natural gas-powered Civic GX, with near-zero emissions ranked first, and the Civic Hybrid, Insight and Fit joining the list on the ACEEE's 12 most environmentally responsible vehicles engineered by Honda. The ACEE'’s ranking system uses a remarkable gauge that incorporates fuel economy, health-related pollution impacts, and global warming emissions. All vehicles are analyzed and given a "Green Score" which is used to rank a vehicle's total environmental impact.
For the tenth year in a row, Honda has received the number one ranking, and the ninth consecutive year that Honda has held at least three positions in the top 12. Honda paves the road with high standards for socially and environmentally responsible vehicles with products like the Civic GX. The Civic GX, first introduced in 1998, is the cleanest internal combustion vehicle certified by the U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). It was the first Advanced Technology Partial-Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) from Honda.
